Sentry Sub™

The Sentry Sub™ is a high capacity string filter sub designed to address all debris related problems, the tool captures general debris as well as any size of metallic particles present in the circulating system. The downhole filtration tool is positioned in the drill string – typically installed 4m above the Magnetometer to protect sensitive equipment such as MWD, LWD, RSS, drill motors and bit nozzles from debris in the drilling fluid.

An internal filter screen prevents any debris present in the drilling fluid from entering these critical components therefore preventing NPT and failures ensuring efficient operations during drilling. A set of high strength magnets captures and retains ferrous debris that contribute to BHA failures. The Sentry Sub™ is the only filtration tool that tackles all debris related issues, making it a versatile & valuable addition to any BHA.

The internal filter screen system implemented within the filtration sub is resistant to erosion and reduces any pressure loss by maximising the TFA. A central bypass channel provides fluid flow through the filtration tool if the filter plugs with debris.
